Trento is the capital of the autonomous province of Trento/the region of Trentino located in Alto Adige in the midst of mountains at the river Adige (Etsch). Of the close to 120.000 inhabitants (3rd largest town of the Alps), 16.000 study at the University of Trento, which was founded in 1962. 

The exceptionally beautiful Trento city buildings originate from Medieval and Renaissance times including a Cathedral and the Buonconsiglio castle.

The large pedestrian zone in town is full of shops, bars and restaurants and certainly worthwhile to spend some time in.

The surrounding of Trento attracts everyone interested in hiking, climbing, skying or just enjoying nature by eating an ice cream at one of the many lakes embedded in a dazzling landscape.
